I think I'm going to return the cropped denim, they are a little too frayed for my liking. The fit I think looks good otherwise. It's too bad they aren't a regular hem or not as frayed. They are too short for me to hem them.

Yea man - I agree - that is a bit too much action down by the feet. If it were slightly less, it could be perfect.

I cut up an old pair of APCs to fit cropped and the hem came out nearly identical to this white pair you posted. Just cut right across with straight scissors and pulled out some threads afterwards. Super easy!

how tall are you? i'm 6'1, guessing that it would be too short to hem for me too.

I'm 5"11, but I have a really short torso and long legs, so a lot of denim is too short on me. I generally have to stick with a 34" inseam. The cropped are prob a 32-33, so they don't look cropped at all, but I don't think I could alter them any, unless I just cleaned up the hem a bit.
