Checked out the collab with United Arrows & Sons / Bergdorf at the "A Good a Time at Goodman's" event today.

1) One of the partners in the company was there, his name was Mike. I was wearing the F/W 2015 riders jacket and he noticed "nice jacket, man." I asked about the pigtail - "we will be redoing that style and releasing again" and when I mentioned Roden Gray he said "oh, they'll be getting it very soon."

2) The collection was excellent quality, the pictures do not do it justice. The Richmond jacket and pants were much better looking in person than I anticipated, however like someone said here I have no use for that sort of outfit really. I bought one of the tees, which seemed as good or better quality than their usual tees. It has a u-shaped bottom with a normal neck.

3) The tags at the U.S. release have JE and Goodman's branding, in Japan it is JE and United Arrows & Sons branding. Per Mike - "There is no good way to put three brands on a tag so we decided to put two."

4) Then we were both highly distracted by the presence of Sir Paul McCartney who actually browsed the collection briefly before wandering over to the Thom Browne section. After saying no to pictures from a couple people, he then went into the fitting room to try something on. When he came back out I introduced myself, told him I was a fan - he then came over and met my wife and baby and made some small talk before leaving with a $1300 baby blue Thom Browne cardigan.

For those who have worn their cast stretch obsidians lots.... do they end up looking close to the carbons? I've held both in hand and the cast carbon almost looks like it started similar to the obsidian. Just want to know how the obsidians will end up looking with time before pulling the trigger.

Is JE producing his shirts at the same place as James Perse? I got one of the washed pocket tee's and the fabric and seam work is identical to James Perse, minus the pocket and cut.

If he is, It's pretty ballsy to charge over $35 more and claim that it's a unique fabric dye when Perse has had the same tee in his arsenal for a decade (which inspired Rick Owens to do his take on the Dark Dust color made in Italy)

You mean construction? ALOT of tshirts have the same contruction. James Perse is produced in a factory outside of LA whose name I'm spacing, that does massive numbers. JE is produced in an all in one factory (small) in Vernon. That being said, I've never handled either tee that you're talking about to comment further on the fabric and wash being the same. JE didn't pioneer that dying process.
