Jetted Hacking Pockets on Formal Suits - Opinions?

I intend to make a three-piece suit for city wear over the next week. I have seen discussions on Hacking vs Straight and Flap vs Jetted, but never have I seen a suit with jetted hacking pockets.

Is a major crime to have such a combination? Or are there structural problems to it (e.g. pockets collapse more easily)?

Do a flap pocket and tuck it in if you like.

But they're sort of antithetical -- a hacking pocket is a functional touch if one is on a horse, and a stylistic one which calls back to that if one is not. But jetted pockets are pure town wear.

What does your client want? Surely when you are making the garment you follow his instructions - not that he seems to have much taste in wanting hacking pockets on a suit intended to be worn in the city?

Although it may seem a strange request, how different would it be if someone tucked in the flaps on the hacked pockets?

Personally, if the pockets are hacked then I leave the flaps out; otherwise, they are ticked in. I have tried tucking in flaps on hacked pockets - if I forget about it, then fine; however, when I would think about it, the flaps would be tucked out.

Yes, tucking in the flaps will get the same look. It is just curious that of all the strange suit combinations that one can find these days, jetted hacking pockets does not seem to exist. At least not through a Google or SF search.

I was wondering if it was more than just a choice based on tradition or aesthetics i.e. structural/function issues.
