That’s something I don’t understand: they have multiple stores and indeed multiple drawers full of JMM not listed on their website, and I wonder why? If you think online sales are too much of a hassle then why have only a small part of the collection listed instead of nothing/all? L’atelier OTOH might be smaller (although they recently opened their second store in Madrid so business seems to be growing) but they have everything listed, or so they told me.

BTW regarding Optica Toscana I’ve only been to their store in Calle Hortaleza in Madrid, and it’s very cool. It’s an old seed/grain store. They kept the original storefront and a lot of the interior was preserved, too, including all the drawers full of JMM now.

I still have a sweet spot for L’atelier though as they’re in my neighbourhood (actually same little street as my flat).
I was in both Optica Toscana last week in Madrid and this specifically in Chueca is sooo cool! The other is more like a modern boutique. In l’atelier they were also really kind and I tried a pair of Hemmings I liked (they were optical, not sun though)

Interested in a Dealan in ultra pink.
There’s one on eBay but I’m not going into the $1300 (plus tax and shipping)

Saw one on Poshmark but the price was all over the place and it’s gone now.

I’m not on Facebook so don’t see those offers. I think they only made 50 Thanks!

How were the Hemmings? I really like them but considering that even the Enzo are almost too big on me then I guess I’d look like a clown in the Hemmings.

Hemmings is definitely larger than Enzo, it's my biggest frame and pretty much the extreme border for me size wise. I wear it, but it's clearly not the best fit on me.

Hemmings are one of the frames they changed sizes on - the newer ones are older than the older ones. I have two older and two newer and the older fit me well. The newer look oversized.

For those of you with colored frames (oranges, yellow, etc) - aren't they kind of a novelty? $800+ for novelty frames seems crazy - THOUGHTS?
Each to his own.
I’m bored to death with black and brown or brown tort.
I have flat black (LF Rawlins) and mottled black (Dealan YS Wolf)
I have flat brown (Dealan hickory) and mottled golden brown (Molino camel).
That’s all I need in black and brown. Black and brown (tort) are the most popular and most versatile colours but once you have a couple of each you’re just repeating with any more purchases.

I like to match my shades with my clothes. I live in Florida and with that climate (sunny and low 70s today) it’s more conducive to wear brighter clothes so my turquoise, red, stingray (orange) Vesper (red and blue) get worn more than my blacks. Im on the hunt for an ultra pink Dealan now as I have a lot of pink / fuchsia polos and shirts.

Probably the camel Molinos are the most versatile of my entire collection.

Completely agree with what was said above. Black and brown can be used in more scenarios but I like having other colors for specific outfits and/or occasions. I like to keep things interesting and spicy with all the frame color options.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
