I saw a picture of the Evans in a new colourway called (allegedely) Palisades with tinted lenses, gorgeous. Still hoping they'll come as sunglasses too.

I have mine on order. The acetate is supposed to look like horn, with a dark green color. Very distinctive. Hidden wirecore with silver arrowheads. Lenses are sweet brown or something similar.

Has anyone been able to get a reply via email from JMM recently? Sent in a pair of defective Pinedales to their warranty & repair department months ago and haven't been able to get a reply via email regarding the status. When I emailed them to organize the repair/replacement, it took weeks to get a reply. Feeling very nervous, especially as a frequent customer.

No "alleged" necessary; if they're what I think you're referring to, they are the Palisades gallery exclusive colorway, hence "Palisades."

I've communicated with them by e-mail a few times (5-8x?) over the past month. I've always gotten a response within 48 hours, and once or twice on the same day. But my inquiries were either about wholesale orders in process or retailer authorization verification, so typically easier responses

Also, newbie question here, but what is difference between tinted lenses and sunglasses? I've only seen Evans Palisades with dark tinted lenses and assumed they were sunglasses 😅😂

No difference, of course, just not sure if they are custom and if it's the only (very limited, 50 pieces) colourway.

Of course minutes after posting I got a reply lol. For some reason my emails to them were being diverted to a different internal queue.

I bought my Hickory Evans that were marketed by JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) as “sunglasses”, but the tint was so extremely faint that I still don’t know how JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) classified them as such. It seems to me the borderline between a light “fashion tint” and a straight up dark “sunglass tint” is an arbitrary one. It didn’t make me no nevermind anyway because I put custom prescription lenses in.

Edit: On review of my purchase record, I cannot confidently confirm if they were classified as opticals or sunglasses.

I've seen four photos of Evans Palisades, two in-gallery, and two by owner. All four had the tinted lenses so I'm assuming Evans Palisades is a sunny as stock. I didn't realize until you posted that Evans had only previously come out as opticals

My most recent order for the gold 1980s w/ green gradient lenses got cancelled last minute, and can't find it in stock anywhere else. Annoying. Anyone aware of a US retailer that has them?

Really like the Leclair for a narrow/medium width face like mine.
