I was here for the 1000 page celebration. Where were you??

I WAS THERE! THE WHOLE TIME! I brought out my entire collection and explained what frames I was wearing and even when I switched to new frames. I had nonalcoholic beverages at my computer terminal and pre made some wicked rad supreme nachos. I made comments about my favorite moments on the forum. It’s so not OK that you’re saying I wasn’t there. It’s flat out misinformation. I put a lot of time, effort, and expense into planning that party!

That being said, I’d still like to try a pair of Enzos and Ascaris. Pretty sure I’ll look stupid in both, but still.

Guh! I don’t even have a pair yet! I just want a nice pair of Dealans! All the frames are so nice I’m sure anyone would be fun to rock on face, issue is I live 2 hours away from the nearest retailer which makes it difficult to see what would work best and it’s hard to justify cutting 4 hours of drive time just to try on a pair of shades. I just want a classic frame and color but I may be some years late. The ones I really like are the agar George cortina’s, but would prefer green lenses over the blue.

I‘ve been reading a few 100 pages of this beautiful thread lately, since this seems to be the only useful source of information about these frames! (no nearby stockist)

Point being, i want to get my first pair sooner or later (optical light tint) and am humbly asking for your assistance:

- Currently thinking Dealan (Mr Porter) / dealan 53 (Vanta) for a daily driver but i have no clue how big widthwise they are?
How Adjustable are JMMs widthwise (should they even be parallel to the head for comfort?)

- Would waiting for a Mondello Black Friday sale make sense, or would i miss the chance to get a basic color JMM?

- When do classic shapes usually release? Black / exposed silver relatively common nowadays?

jmm has the best return policy for jmm frames - completely free returns and I’ve never had any hassle. Try from them and see if they work if you live beyond a dealer.

Wow. Just….wow! Yeah so no. I’m not going to let you spread misinformation on this forum and besmirch my hard earned and stellar reputation here! I planned the 1000 page celebration and I was there! I tolled everyone the day, date, and time, and I was there! Go to page 1035 and see for yourself. If you can’t follow rules of basic human decency, then be gone! HORRID!

I’m a fat old guy with a pretty (not pretty in the sense of attractive but pretty as in “fairly”) fat and wide face. The dealan 53 looks proportional to a smidge too wide for me. I wish I could post a pic, but public posting of my picture violates my own PERSEC rules.

Width can be adjustable, but it really only should be done a little bit. If you have to open up a frame a lot, it's a sign that you need a different, wider, frame.

Looking at Dealan 53, Molino 55 and Yves right now, any other wide recommendations?

Also can i reasonably expect a black / exposed silver temple to release for these models, or should i bite on currently avaiable models?
