Just had a peep. They look OK.
Since we’re on about JMM adjacent shades does anyone know ANY brand that does a chunky aqua blue frame?
I saw a pair of Black Optical Dealans (only 15 made IIRC) go on eBay recently for $1500. I wasn’t prepared to go that high as they are a niche colour as opposed to ones you’d wear everyday. I’d love something similar but it needs to be aqua BLUE. I’ve seen a few come close but in reality they are more turquoise or light teal with a greenish cast when I want these to be aqua blue. Any thought much appreciated!

Here’s one side, the other side was even worse. Also it’s hard to tell in that picture but there’s green all where the ‘dark areas’ are which look like staining.

It wasn’t something small and obviously moisture/water was trapped. I’ve used JMM in extremely humid environments and never had this though, I think it was some lack of care from the original owner.

It's okay, in a few years everyone will want this type of patina in their JMMs to show they've been wearing the brand before it got popular, or they'll get bought be the fans of patina, e.g. the bronze watch and leather goods/shoe people.

Black with some transparent bits and dark red lenses. No tortoise. That’s for women.

Daniel Craig was recently spotted in Wimbledon wearing beluga Plazas. There’s ton of pics online. In this one the temples seem to have some texture but must be some reflections.

You wash your sunglasses daily? Lol way too intense for me

It’s probably mostly asthetic as the acetate is already insanely thick and I doubt there’s any risk of detachment.

definitely you shouldn’t be washing your glasses daily, if at all (unless there’s a reason for it). Water is corrosive in general to all metal parts.

If you do need to clean with water and want to be anal about it, using distilled water is probably smart.

cleaning the lenses is usually the only thing I ever do. I usually use a Zeiss type spray but technically gentle dishwasher soap and water is even better for the coating. I’m just too lazy and sprays are easy.

I should add, I wear mine as opticals, and for 12-16 hours a day. I also wear them to the gym.

By the end of the day, there's usually a thick layer of sweat, grime , and skin oil on my frames.
