Haven't checked this thread in a while, can anybody give me a photo dump of the Kaine on face?

I am not sure if I like the Pasolinis, but man, all JMM sunglasses are great on you @Jaymig926 , so not to worry and keep buying, hahaha. On a related note, I still do not know what to do with my Ichis; love them but they have been in the box since I got them.

My case is that I do not feel confortable wearing thick eyewear opticals. I think something lighter like Prudhons works much better. I wear black cheap optical frames so I have yet to go to Madrid to see a retailer to give me some ideas for sunglasses. Eventually I might get some dark grey lenses, nothing fancy, but not sure.

I really want to try on the Ichis, but pretty sure they will be too big as opticals.

A lot of the models that look good as sunglasses look a little too stylized as opticals to wear routinely.

I tried on multiple models with the dark lenses popped out at Morgenthal Frederics in Soho, and found the Ichis to be one of the ones that looked better as sunglasses.

Yeah if they had made them as 48s as shown on the website instead of 50 they would’ve worked better imho…..

Agreed. On its website JMM shows certain models both as sunglasses and opticals. Those are the ones that probably can go either way based on fit. And others that are better suited for sun or optical only.

There are only a few JMM models that I can wear as opticals since most are way too big for me.

I wear Molino and Jax as opticals. I have recently tried on the Ichikawa, Fellini, and Prudhon frames. They would probably all work as opticals for me. The Fellini and Ichi felt pretty heavy, maybe more so than the Molino. The Prudhons felt cheap in comparison. I liked the lighter weight, but they seemed very similar to frames a few hundred dollars cheaper. For me, and I think others here, JMM excels at the thicker acetate. I’m looking at other brands as an alternate for opticals, especially on those days where I’m wearing glasses 20+ hours.
