I am obsessed with the Spectacle factory. Robert seems extraordinarily knowledgeable. I’d like to try to use their services, but I am in the Midwestern United States, and I’m a bit leery about going through the time and expense of ordering high-end custom lenses when they can’t take my exact measurements in person. How did they go about getting the appropriate measurements for your frames and prescription?
I kind of take back what I said. Last time I will do mail in lenses. Not sure about the process of measurements but he did have me send pics of the frames on my face. They have a great channel for ideas, but I felt like everything after the consult was an upsell. Get everything tinted and with a coating on it. Not sure how that works with optical pairs that aren't fully used for just sun. Lesson learned.

Haha my thoughts exactly!

Not too jazzed about the Ashcroft colour but would love to just try a pair on and confirm how they look against the possibility of better colours coming in the future.

I don’t see any in the new range that excite me with the possible exception of the Devotos. Since this doesn’t seem to be a collaboration with the man himself as they did with Jeff, I wonder how Howard feels about his name being appropriated like this. Ditto Richard Ashcroft, Bob ‘Dealan’ et al!

I want to like these, and maybe it's the lighting or pic but they look like cheap plastic.
Thin metallic frames give off a "cheap" look.

JMM's strength is always in thick acetate.

I held one of JMM's titanium frames, and it was very flexible and lightweight.

The material was "better" than acetate in terms of strength, flexibility, being lightweight.

The problem was it felt chintzy and cheap in the hand, and the overall aesthetic on my face looked very niche.

IMO, metallic frames look more interesting with offbeat designs and details. I found Rigards on 1269, and it fits the bill. The style is not for me, but it's looks more thoughtful than JMM's titanium frames.

Steampunk mad scientist look to it.

I despise the whispy temples of most JMM titanium frames. They certainly feel cheap and unbalanced weight-wise on the head compared to my T-Henri titanium frames.

Not familiar with this brand, but the frames look cool from what I could find.

Can you post your frames and/or the model?
