finally, i get an interview invitation of Government and Politics from a local university, so i am thinking about what to wear on that day. After asking some net friends that had experience on this king of interview ,they all said it's good to wear a suit but it's also not bad to wear dress shirt+pants+dress shoes . I have a suit, but it's very hot in hong kong now, so i think i may just wear shirt+pants+dress shoes. Is this type of pants appropriate to wear?

Those trousers look pretty casual to me - the pocket are cut like those on jeans. I have no experience interviewing for University in hong kong, but I can say if a suit is generally considered ok to wear those will not be.

Perhaps if you were interviewing for a spot at McDonalds or something otherwise they are too casual for an interview.

You always get points for wearing a suit to an interview. You certainly wont offend anyone if you did
