Is this Charvet tie a fake?

I bought a Charvet tie on eBay a while ago. It’s clearly a more formal, ‘evening’ tie, but I’m concerned about how thin/delicate it is. According to StyleForum posts of yore, Charvet has a history of making delicate ties, but this one feels almost like it’s made from tinsel. Any thoughts?

The label looks okay to me. Can't say 100% for sure without handling the tie, but I'd be surprised if people were faking Charvet ties -- not nearly as recognizable a brand as, say, Hermes/Gucci/Versace/etc if you were trying to make money by faking ties.

Yes, Charvet ties can be very delicate indeed.

I second this, its a pretty niche thing to fake.

Also, it looks like someone took it to the corner dry cleaners who pressed it and ruined it. I learned this mistake the hard way with one of my favorite ties that got a stain, it felt like wearing a piece of paper after that.

Yeah, any way to revitalize it?
