Ironing the collars of Thomas Pink Oxford shirts

Hi everyone, I’ve joined specifically to ask this question.

Before the company went bust and ceased trading, I used to love Thomas Pink formal shirts, so I was delighted when the brand was revived last year and celebrated by buying some of their Oxford shirts.

However, I just can’t get the collars right when I iron them. I spray with water to ensure they’re damp when I start ironing and I iron from the centre outwards. I have also in the past tried spraying on a little starch after the points started curling, but my collars keep looking crinkled as in the below image.

Can anyone help? I’d rather not got to places like Charles Tyhrwhitt or TM Lewin for my formal shirts and I’m not sure where else does good, middle market equivalents.

I can’t say I’ve had this experience with my own shirts but it looks like the problem is that the seam is puckering. This can happen when there are issues with thread tension during sewing, for example. But maybe an expert like @Shirtmaven can weigh in.

I will assume that the collars on the oxford cloth shirts fron Pink are not fused.
A non fused collar is a bit a harder to press
