Just upgraded from the regular 4, not 4s to the 5. Without me having to read this shitshow of a thread, what are the things I should know?

You are also getting a processor that's much faster then the old one. This gives the phone better performance and enhances graphics for multimedia and games. Not to mention the extra screen real estate is better for watching videos.

Given that my iPhone intermittently freezes when I switch between programs I have open, if this is a 'fast' processor, I don't want to know how ****** this phone was with a slow one.

Weird. I've never had that happen to me. Sounds like a bug, not anything related to the processor speed.

Maybe it's a memory issue. Try periodically closing all of the apps you have open.

iOS multitasking doesn't really work like that. You don't leave apps open so much as have a quick shortcut to them. It doesn't take much memory up at all.

Oh, I was being snarky of course; channeling my dissatisfaction. You also get a much better camera etc.

With that said one of the reasons I just ordered a Nexus 4 is because Iphone started to get boring after a few years of virtually no change in the user interface. Not that it is bad or ineffective, just tiring at this point.
