Hi Yang, welcome!Hi, this is Yang from the UK. I am interested in gentleman's stuff
Hi Gus, I agree, sharing information & learning from each other is a beautiful passion. Welcome to the forum!Hi All!
My name is Gus and I have been an inactive SF peruser for many years now. I am 32, was born and raised in NYC and now live in northern NJ with my wife and son, which I find terribly cliche. I love all things men's tailoring and am learning to be a tailor myself.
I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing a beautiful passion.
Hello Leiito, I've always felt that being in good shape and dressing well are part & parcel, meaning looking & feeling good about oneself. I would suggest wearing flat front pants, no pleats for guys that sport some extra girth in the waist or tummy. So I've been into classic menswear for several years now but between working from home and having put on weight during the pandemic it was kinda on a back burner for a couple of years but I've been eating healthy again and working out for 6 months now so I've been able to rediscover fine threads and footwear. I've bought a few new knits, high-rise reverse pleated trousers, I'm having a couple of suits made and a rain coat, I'm ordering a pair of Mecariellos so life is good again. Being seriously fat sucks if you like classic menswear, stuff just doesn't look and feel right.
Hello Steppenwolf, welcome back to the forum!Hi, I am Steppenwolf, a former member who lost his Gmail account, not an old one though. Live in the Netherlands. I love Perfume and just started dabbling in perfume making. As a typical teen I love streewear, I also like sweaters and dark academia style clothing. A classmate once asked me why I looked like a nerd and a "jock" rolled in one, I consider that a compliment. I'm glad to be back among you folks.
Hi, I too had an issue with weight stability. It began when I was in my late 30's throughout much of my 40's. This persisted even though I was athletic and regularly excercised. A doctor recommeded that see a nutritionist, one who could analyze blood. The nutritionist suggested changes to my diet. Some easier to adapt than others but nothing weird. I began to loose weight in regular intervals. I still exercise regularly and keep tabs on my glucose intake, carbs and foods that are high in certain enzymes that help to adjust my metabolism. Thought that I'd pass this information on to you. Welcome to the forum!Hi, I decided to register here after doug posted in a thread elsewhere and noted he'd left the place for greener pastures. Given the place is an absolute state and nobody ever posts anything good there, I figured I might as well do the same.
in terms of clothing i dont really get to wear much nice outside of weekends, but i mostly wear odd pieces rather than suits, usually twill or moleskin trousers with a plain shirt, a nice tie, and if weather permits a shawl collar cardigan in lieu of a jacket. ideally id wear more tailored pieces, particularly waistcoats, but lack of a stable weight makes that one a bit impractical for me unfortunately. if i ever find a proper solution to that though, i really would love a nice dark tweed three piece.
my current area of clothing exploration is hats, i quite like the idea of them but i dont live anywhere near a place where i can go and try a bunch on, so its just browsing for now til i can settle on something to try.
Hello, paying attention to what you wear and grooming is an essential key to developing your personal style. Welcome! In the past years I've put more and more effort to my clothes, watches, shoes, fragrances etc.
So I'm here to learn more.
At work I wear hardhat and hi-vis clothes while driving heavy machines, all other times I prefer to dress a little bit better.
I'm not a suit guy, but I've bought a vest and it's again a step towards fancier attires.

I have suspicions of certain endocrine problems due to how I was raised as a kid, and I'm currently awaiting blood tests that may confirm or eliminate one potential problem, but not all of them. Unfortunately the glorious NHS, peace be upon it, has a strict policy of only testing for specific things under specific circumstances. If I want to actually get tested I need to convince my GP to send me to an endocrinologist, or just pay for a test myself. Given current wait times I'm likely to do the latter when I can afford to lose £100 for a slip of paper that says whether I need to spend a lot more money on either private treatment or grey market meds. I am currently already paying £200-300 a month on private treatment for my partners leg which they neglected to fix before it advanced to the most severe class of cartilage injury, so I am quite wary of committing myself to much more in the way of medical expenses for a while.Hi, I too had an issue with weight stability.
