My mother had a casentino coat when I was young, in a vibrant orange colour. It looked excellent.

Having said that, I think that bright orange coats do complement women's outfits more than your regular men's outfit.

Greens and oranges can be worn well by men, at least European men.

No, it's not a "regular men's outfit," but sometimes in one's wardrobe, or in one's merchandising, a little irregularity can be nice :)

That said, I have a bright orange long coat (of another wool cloth) and wear it rarely. A green loden cloth coat, not too far from the Casentino forest green, I wear more often.

Perhaps NoMaWA will offer more colors in future seasons.

According to Gianluca Isaia, Casentino fabric is made by beating the fabric with what I understand are sort of like prickly *****willows, which tuft up the fabric.  According to Signor Liverano, who was very adamant about this point, this material has deep Florentine roots.

I wish I was beaten with prickly *****willows.
