@GBR when you exit the bubble you are in, you will notice that a Black suit done well is the cornerstone of worldwide businesswear.
- But feel free to attend a Japanese business meeting in a Navy Blazer and Grey Flannels with Clark's Desert Boots... While typing your apology/Resignation.

Worldwide? It's pretty much only Japan and Korea.

Are you sure that's not a Woman wearing a tux?

Let me help you. I am firmly in Favor of the "Black suit". I have 3,one is a Burberry. and they all
see some wear.
Here are some great pics of the Black suit looking the business.

Plenty more, but if these guys can rock it? so can we. (well, those that can) It's a strong look. and confidence sells it.

@HermesGuy A few suggestions.
1.) It's fine to wear very slim fitted suits but just be aware that usually they only look good on a very specific body type. If you're overweight or very thin it just highlights those facts. From your picture I can see that you have a smaller stature and IMHO a very slim fitting suit will highlight that fact. Not sure if that is important to you, just something to be aware of.
2.) I only wear black suits for some weddings, funerals and black tie events (And even then not regular black suits but rather tuxedos for blacktie and tailcoats for some wedding)
3.) Usually proponents of classic menswear would only wear such slippers in combination with a tuxedo for a black tie event (velvet slippers). But even then having a logo as such on them, is in poor taste and should be avoided. I would suggest the purchase of classic calf skin or suede shoes. Oxfords and Derbies are obviously recommended but for you, loafers are closer to the slipper in style (especially Italian ones) and might thus be more to your liking.
I hope this helps!

Then again, taking a look at your blog (picture below), it seems your style is very flashy and focused on clothes that have huge brand logos on them, oversized clunky watches and stacks of money, which means you will be blind to most of the advice here.

Good luck to you!
