How similar is the cut between Diors & New Standards?

I think I was reading somewhere that the modern Dior cut was heavily influenced or based upon the NS? Is this true and if so, how similar are they?

They are fairly similar, but the seat and thighs of the diors are slimmer. The seat has darts on the pockets, which makes it more, um, round and fitted.

Slimane often wears a pretty well worn pair of APC and took his inspiration for the DH jeans cut from them but the new cures came after and appear to have been inspired by Slimane's own take on APC's design and the trend of slim jeans. I guess this went full circle...

i disagree with the above- the 19cm is most like ns. 21cm are much straighter

I generally agree with inviscid and Fuuma (thanks for that info, interesting) but think it depends on what size you try on. The 19cm Diors I tried on fit like New Cures. But logically the 19cm would be closer to the NS since they're both tapered and the 21cm is very close to straight leg.

FWIW and IIRC, almost everyone online I've heard that owns the 21cm has said it's very similar to the NS.

EDIT: let me emphasize the sizing thing a lot because if you go to the SuFu Dior thread a lot of people ***** about how buyers are buying too small size of diors when they were "supposed" to be slouchy, a la Hedi's cut.

funny thing is, APCs form dart-like creases on the back pockets after you wear them...
