I was in Rome a few years ago and was amazed at how well the women walked on the cobblestone in their heels. If you've never been, a lot of the city is old stone (i.e. lots of gaps to get heels stuck in) and most of the women dress very well and wear heels.
Even my wife couldn't believe how fast and sure these women walked.
