Is the DB 6x2 or 6x1? Looks like 6x2 with some sprezzz.

Precisions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It really is a 6x2 but the way it’s been cut, it is easily worn as a 6x1. I’m wearing most of my DB’s this way these days as I find it more relaxed and easy on the eyes.

I have a strong torso and the 6x2 gives me a somewhat “military” bearing which can be appear stiff.

I think this looks good but would look better with a not-white shirt.

What do you recommend sir? light blue? To be honest I wanted to wear it with a striped blue shirt, the office oddly enough lets me wear anything combo as long as I wear a plain white dress shirt.

Thanks for the advice though!

Nothing to be done about dress code i suppose.

Light blue or cream shirt would be better to my eye though.

Attempted navy pents today. Not sure if working.

I know navy pants are not popular on SF. But I think they can work.
In the case of your fit here, I have worn something very similar.
I know you have some light blue in the shirt. That is a good start.
I have found that incorporating some navy accents in the tie can help tie the top to the bottom and avoid the “person cut in two” problem.
Something like this tie, perhaps?

Only a few hours left of the Friday Challenge. I am prepared to extend the deadline if I know that there are people out there thinking of participating, just let me know if that's the case.

Since I had a couple of people get in touch saying that they are planning to submit an entry I will extend the deadline until next Saturday (27th).

@luv2breformed

If you must wear navy odd pants or suits, then stick with dark brown or deep burgundy/cordovan shoes.

I know many love light brown/Chestnut shoes but they are terribly limiting except when worn with light trousers.

Light brown shoes no matter how beautiful, make an outfit look terribly “cheap” when worn with dark trousers. They shout “parvenu”.

Very nice! Are the sleeves just a touch long?
@Maximus Rex

The sleeves are actually good length. This shirt I had made with an old batch of bespoke suit which had slightly shorter sleeves. I have another batch of bespoke shirts that match the sleeves of this suit better.

This can happen when you use different tailors and have different patterns and measurements for suits and shirts. And then when you try to mix them, such mismatch occurs.

I think it worked quite well. Other guys made some valid remarks. What I can suggest is to slightly shorten the sleeves of the jacket.

Early morning today. I am wondering whether the contrast between trousers and jacket is too small, any opinions?

@blekit , for myself I'd like more contrast between coat and trousers.
You have been sporting some nice berets lately!
