I went with the riskier tie choice today (others were solid brown and solid green) and not sure it worked out. I am also torn on white vs. blue shirts with this jacket. Have a good weekend folks.

I think the blue shirt works quite well.

I don't think the tie choice worked. I would have liked a solid, and I think brown or green would have been preferable to this one.

I apologize for my misunderstanding.

Not a problem. I can see where a bit of snark might have been detected, though the thumb/smilie combo was intended to offset that.

Good catch, Ac2, you obviously did your homework. :teach:

I like this, but I'd like it even more if the shoes were less formal. Unless one is being purposefully ironic, Oxfords with jeans are an odd couple.

Cheers,

I was going for suede shoes, and then I saw that rain was scheduled in the afternoon, hence the choice.

Attempt of patterned trouser. I tried to use a bold striped shirt to draw the eye back to the upper block. Same reasoning for tie and square. Not sure if it worked. Also, not sure why jacket shoulders look so off. this jacket usually fits very clean.

Back after some months at the north

Cheers

Lovely to see you back, Vic. I was in your native land in February - ate and drank well for less money than in NYC, and enjoyed seeing the sights. Lisboa is a beautiful place.

Try a white shirt with a spread collar. Pants look a little tight in the thighs but not a deal breaker. I like the pattern.

Also practice your poses. Looking more confidently could improve your look. Check out @mossrockss. He gets it right consistently.

Photos from a beautiful weekend in NYC - proof that I am not always encased in a three-piece suit.

Yesterday, along the Hudson, south of the Whitney Museum:

Today, in Central Park, on the way to brunch at the Leopard:

Oh! Nice news, my friend.
I´ve been out of town for some months, my life was too busy during last year (ended at the beginning of this month, and now slowed), and travels around the country too many. That really tired me, because I even didn´t had a chance to take a little vacation or traveling abroad, what I really miss.
So, what's good in Lisbon? I know we have cheap prices in restaurants and things like this because people are not payed well here. Can´t be compared to the level of life you have in your city, not even with other towns in Europe.
But I think is a really nice town, though the weather in February is not very good - cold and rainy, usually - but people uses to be nice, and it´s rather clean and secure (not counting the pickpockets, that most are not portuguese, but coming from East Europe).
Really glad you enjoyed my homeland.

Nicely done.
Here, only today the rain stopped, but seems it returns tomorrow. I can´t recognize my Lisbon weather. In the previous years, by this time I already was
having weekends at the each. And man, I´m missing my panama hats!
