Ok, let's not start a beard conversation....my fault. The recent infatuation with beards drives me nuts. I'm already at the point where I want to punch the next hipster that says, "awesome beard, bro".

That's a pretty sweet beard, bro.

Anyway, I read somewhere that the beard craze was dying off. It'll then just be people who like beards (murl) or hate shaving (me)

@Pliny dammit, can you just once post a "blah" outfit?! Killing it as usual.

What fabric did you use for the SC?

Thx. ~ 11 oz The merchant was Huddersfield Cloth, but the bunch I don't know. One of their specials I got cheap. There's so much great cloth in Huddersfield. Mostly prefer the less expensive lower Super number stuff with plenty of body.

I take advantage of the first light this morning :

Noice, what tie is that BiP?
Vintage tweed, ancient madder tie, oxford cloth shirt, heavy cotton twills, new chukkas.

... and madder:

1000

Vintage YSL coat/vest, BB madder tie, J. Press ecru pinpoint and foulard hank.

No full-length, but this was with light gray flannels and heavy tan full brogues (AE McTavishes).

I like these fits. To clarify, r u wearing matching vest and jacket with odd trews?

Well u can't.

I think we could actually go back and forth on what "the rules" say on this (with a cloth this casual), but I knew it was debatable when I did it, and didn't care.

Didn't care? DIDN'T CARE!?

Also, I didn't have a chance to reply and the thread has moved swiftly onward, but thanks for the feedback @heldentenor, @Mr. Six, @dazedstate, and @Sander. All appreciated. The shoes are snuff suede, not polo, but same result. Not sure yet whether I'll hold onto them long-term but fun to experiment for now.

@sugarbutch, let me and @An Acute Style know what slubby tie you want for the holidays and it's yours. We got you, boo.

The brown pinstripe is casual? Be interesting to see the full fit. I think it'd look like you were wearing a suit but were forced to change cos u spilt gravy on your pants. Or something.
I don't recall ever seeing matching vest and jacket that are not part of a suit, and the pins seal the deal. The full suit would look pretty cool.
