Given the similar color/saturation of the shirt and jacket, I might have opted for a lighter blue solid or, if you wanted to keep the pattern, a true graph check.  Everything else looks splendid, Justin--that inky blue is beautiful.

Thank you and I completely agree. I've learned that when my shirts come back from the cleaners I go straight to my solid blues and then I'm left with patterns that I've bought previously. I am slowly purchasing/incorporating more variations of solid/textured blue shirts.

Whilst on the subject of Cary Grant films, don't forget to watch "Gunga Din" to get some hints about shopping for genuine Bleeding Madras....

Brilliant!

Thanks, Andy. The cufflinks are silver, set with rhodochrosite, which, as it turns out, is the national gemstone of Argentina, and they were 120 Argentinian pesos, which was, in 2006, about $30 USD.

My humble addition from the last couple weeks or so..Apologize for the post of a lot of outfits.. just never got around to posting on here..
Man, you need to meter these out so they can all get the love they deserve! Only nit by me is the tie situation in the spoilered shot. I like longer back blade action, but only if the front is proper length. And although my HS and college colors were green and yellow/gold, I've never been much of a fan of the two together. Just personal preference. One thing's for sure, though, you wear the hell of out a suit.
Cross post from the friday challenge.

Very nice. I might have liked some texture to the tie, either wool or woven silk, but you bring a unique look to SF and the fit is killer. A strong entry to a challenge that is shaping up to be one of the best I've seen with what I thought was a difficult item to do well!
Really like that suit, DC. Fits you great. Jacket a bit longer than your usual or no?[/url]

A strange, storm-threatening day in the Bay Area. Well, stormy by our standards, anyways. Which is to say, not much. Everything I reached for this morning turned out to be blue so I just went with it.
