Oh, I thought the sport coat was grey! Yeah, don't like it either with a brown jacket.

It's a mix of light brown and grey, so it's quite understandable. :D

I went to a conference in the Bronx today to be a booth babe for my wife's business. I had a different tie on originally, but found out her "business color" is orange so I changed to this tie. The shirt isn't my favorite shade of blue, but I find it to be a useful shade at times.

At least half of my thumb goes to what your wife wore--very smart (indifferent to what she drank, though I'm sure it hit the spot). Apparently style runs in the family.

M83, jacket looks a little big on you and I think that shirt is too much for the jacket. Just my opinion....have a good date night!

So what skin tones go well and don't with yellow? I've always been weary of the skin tone advice I've read. What colors would work and don't with my skin tone?
I said "screw it" and bought a yellow shirt, against a lot of advice. The one or two times I posted it on here the average comment was something like "I wish I could wear yellow," and it's like, uh, I did too.

As for the square size issue, do you reckon chest size has anything to do with it? At 36", I can wear some little squares, but I prefer the larger/standard size -- guessing around 14" for many of the ones I like?

I also don't wear particularly close-fitting coats, so there's a little ease through the chest to take up for me. That said, a full-size/largish square in wool challis I own is just plain ol' too big for any of my jackets.

Happy Friday everyone. I wish I had a raw silk navy or green tie, as I think it would have been a better choice. I had a lapse in visual perception and thought the stripes on this tie were brown, not red. Not sure if it works

I love the color of that SC. Overall looks good but I really don't like the tie with the rest of the outfit.
X-post from FC. A new linen suit from my own brand that I've been wearing for two days straight to break it in a bit before going to Italy next week. Will need to press the pants again to get a crisper crease before we go.

I love everything about this. One of my favorite fits ever. Is the suit 100% linen. The fabric looks great. I'm not sure how to explain it but it looks more substantial than I am use to seeing with linen.

Cheers! It's a very rough and sorta chunky linen cloth. I really like it as well, this is currently my favourite suit.

Thanks a lot for the thumbs yesterday! Much appreciated. :)

I used my Iphone for the pics yesterday, but I'm gonna bring back my real camera from work to improve the quality.
