Nice combination. Buttoning point looks to be maybe a bit high, exacerbated by being a little snug. That seems to be causing the fronts to flare open below the button.

I agree on that and carrying a few lbs of holiday weight still. Beggers can’t be choosers on a vintage piece though.

Co-signing. Great colour combo.
I think gun check jackets can sometimes look a bit ‘geriatric farmer’ so you need a splash of colour or a bit of a quirk somewhere to pull them back from being overly rustic and stodgy - the orange socks are a great choice!

I like the top half, which is however much more formal than the bottom one, so that the outfit is not cohesive.
