Something feels off about this outfit. What do you think.

The weather in NYC today is overcast, warm and humid - a perfect reason to wear a summer weight suit (and calendrically, it's still summer until sometime tomorrow, in any case). I have a luncheon for the Frick Museum to attend this noontime, hence another reason to get dressed up. I am uncertain whether or not I wish to go with two pieces or three for today's ensemble - I've photographed it both ways, and will decide at the moment of departure for the Upper East Side whether comfort or looks are more important.

As usual, I've tried to incorporate elements that haven't seen the light of day in a while - today's shirt, shoes, and cufflinks fall into that category.

Suit - Paul Stuart
Shirt - Brooks Brothers
Tie - Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - DVVS, NYC (now defunct)
Pocket square - no brand name
Shoes - Crockett & Jones, model name Weymouth 2

Lovely colour composition. The Madras tie is beautiful.

I disagree about the color temp difference others are pointing out, although it's completely possible it's how it's showing up on my monitor. Looks fine to me.

I agree a different bowtie may be better... I'd have leaned into the blue/white theme with a navy/white polka dot one maybe (or something better, I have a hard time imagining ties I don't have with outfits I don't have). My first take was that I didn't like the belt... up close the matchy matchy but horizontal vs vertical wasn't doing it for me. From a distance it doesn't bother me though, so perhaps in person it's ok. But that would be the other item I'd look at.

However, both of these are incredibly minor. I definitely dig the pink/seersucker/tan linen/white buck combo. It's a pretty well put together fit in my opinion!
