The weather in NYC is dry, after two days of rain, and I've a museum reception to attend this evening at the Metropolitan, for the Harlem Renaissance show. I've paired one of my newest suit with one of my oldest shirts, from my first order of MTM shirts from Brooks Brothers, most likely in the last millennium, a chance pairing, which has given me license to add some pink accessories, to pick up the pink stripe in the shirt. It's also given me a chance to break in my new boots from Septieme Largeur, a recent souvenir of Paris.

Suit - Oliver Brown
Shirt - Brooks Brothers MTM
Tie - Polo Ralph Lauren
Cufflinks - a craft fair near the Cemeterio de la Recoleta, Buenos Aires, 2006
Braces - Paul Stuart
Vintage watch chain
Boots - Septieme Largeur
Hat - Laird Hatters, London

Included in the mix are a couple more photos from the dinner at the Morgan Library Monday evening, these being taken by the professional photographers present at the event.

Don’t agree here.
Not many on SF appreciate the Mod look of slim lapels as shown in my post above, but a general convention is for lapels to be a third to a half the distance across the chest and the lapels on this fella’s jacket fall well within that norm.
Don't agree. They're nowhere near 1/3 of the width. They look way too narrow. It's not 1964.
