Thanks for the help yesterday guys. In the end I swapped the trousers for a pair of light greyish blue ones I had, in the pics theres not much contrast against the jacket but it looked better in person. Also swapped the tie for that light blue one.

I only remembered to take a full body pic too late so had to content with that lift one! The main pic is me in full wedding bliss

After a most pedestrian of Monday mornings and afternoons, my evening will be a bit more eventful, as I am attending this evening the centennial evening benefit for the Morgan Library, celebrating its 100 years as an institution open to the public. As I've not attended an evening dinner with the heavy hitters at the Morgan before, I toned down the "creativity" of my attire a bit, hoping not to make of myself a social pariah at first glance alone. We shall see what sort of event this turns out to be.

I love the Morgan Library. I was last there during the deep freeze of the Polar Vortex of
January 2014. You seem to know the provenance of every item that you wear that would be
worthy of a curator of the collection(s) at the Morgan.

That is a tough colorway on the jacket. I might have been tempted to go with a white shirt and solid tie to anchor the colors down some and perhaps darker shoes. Likely just me and the color not being in my wheel house.
