Welcome back Claghorn, and yes, indeed, I do remember you when there was no grey in your beard, and when there was no beard, but, then again, I am Methuselah - I can even remember when I had hair!

The weather in NYC has turned slightly autumnal - lower temperatures and humidity, certainly, a fortunate thing, as I had a lunch date with a friend from out of town, and this evening, I will be attending a book signing at The Armoury uptown, for which I should not look shabby.

As part of their latest sales, New & Lingwood tempted me with the espresso brown demi-boots shown below, a temptation of which I fell most pleasantly afoul. I did not think, though, that they would work well with today's suit, hence the wingtips also pictured below.
