I'd say the shirt is more a peach colour, and, even though I would also prefer a more vibrant pink, it combines pretty well with the other colours.

Anyway there are a lot of rules in matter of clothing that punctually are proven wrong.

I intentionally didn’t wear an orange tie with a navy blue outfit recently because it reminded me of a local charter school uniform. I doubt anyone else in the country would have made the same association, but if felt off to me. I imagine there are similar associations that vary by city, state, and country. It’s all too much to keep track of.
