On cuffs: All my dress pants and chinos have cuffs. I don't like pants without cuffs; it just looks unfinished to me.

Chinos with cuffs… Hmmm, I've seen it before but I could never get behind it for myself.

I have a few in cuffed pants and they always fall weird. To me cuffs give add med weight that make the pants fall properly

This seems to be a pretty prevailing sentiment.

Clags, that is nice, and pretty classically you, but I am not sure about the square there.

Look, the square has two things going for it which trumps all else.

1) It's cream

2) It's Egyptian

Though in all honestly, I like squares that occasionally dominate an outfit simply by dint of them being bolder or brighter than anything else there. Now I'm not talking about full on silk Nagasaki exploding out of the pocket...just a little bit of dominance. Like. The kind you pay for when vacationing in Germany. On that note, it's something that Timotune does very well. He'll have a very sedate fit with a slightly too vivid square.

Can I say

for the sentence-to-sentence segueing in that post?

Edit: Dammit, Caustic Man beat me to it!

Thanks again to everyone who likes my pictures and thanks again to everyone who takes the time and trouble to post pictures of themselves.

Earlier today, on Melrose Place, my favorite relay box and I. I am wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren jacket, Brooks Brothers PPBD, a tie that the person I was having lunch with gave me for Christmas, Squarextraordinare pocket square, Lyle & Scott sweater vest, Orvis cord trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes. The relay box is wearing a faux finish.

Stitchy, agreed, but there won't be any joy on the cuffs front. Not enough fabric. I could get a false cuff, but it wouldn't help the drape. I'll probably get my tailor to add some hem reinforcing tape to add weight.

Braddock today has revealed his feet of clay. And confirmed that Fair Isle sweaters are really difficult to pull off in a non-traditional way. :)

:(

Fair Isle: Um, navy jacket, OCBD, knit tie? That's not traditional enough for you?

I think a Fair Isle would be more comfortable with tweedy things. That sort of traditional. But don't be sad. It's just this man's opinion.

Dang, son.  How you gonna wear a POW three piece and not give us a full body shot?  Suit looks doper than dope.  Deets?

Thank you (and the others who thumbed). Our house is being remodeled, and non-cluttered areas in the house are few these days. The one that's been okay wasn't today. This is a BB Madison in what looks to me to be a worsted flannel. Just a little bit of fuzz to make you feel all cuddly. :)
