Outstanding tie! From a distance it looks like a mate to
several Sulkas that I have, but the figures on mine are different.

If this comment was made with reference to my tie from Friday 2024/10/04, then thank you!

Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket and tie, L L Bean blue OCBD shirt and grey corduroy trousers, Viyella sweater vest, Squarextraordinaire pocket square, and Allen-Edmonds shoes.

Here's a close up of the shoes.

I still wonder if "Elegant Gentlemen Under House Arrest" may be a better title for this thread.

Can't think of any reason, other than being under house arrest, why many people always post pictures taken in their houses.

I gotta ask man... I assume that someone with the depth and quality of closet you seem to have should have no issue purchasing real braces. Is there a reason you opted for clip-ons? Are there clip ons that don't damage the pants material, but also work as well as button in braces?

I ask because I've considered clip ons for pants that I want to wear with suspenders half the time, so that I don't feel the buttons for the braces digging in if I use side tabs to keep them on instead, but I was under the impression that clip ons had the above mentioned issues.

I never noticed the clip-on braces ever damaged my pants, it may, but just not enough to get me noticed it.

I don’t like inside button as it could press on my belly after a big meal for example, which doesn’t feel very comfortable for me.

I know there is a knee jerk negative reaction in menswear, but I’m a big fan of clip on suspenders. I know there are some unfashionable archetypes that have embraced them, but let’s not throw the baby away with the bath water.
