You have to love that bow tie. The color and pattern seem very "Ivy League" to me. I like to wear them, but I'm afraid that they are a risky choice for someone of less than average height, as I am. My late father wore them frequently and well (and gave me my first lesson in tying one), but he was over six feet tall, so he didn't have to worry about looking like a miniature.
I love bow ties and Ivy style in general. I’ve been wearing them since college and I appreciate the way they distinguish the wearer, much like a DB suit distinguishes its wearer. I believe men of all heights/statures/body types can wear them, as long as the wearer owns the look. I encourage you to test the waters. Be prepared for comments and compliments, because you will receive them!

I'm not sure that I'm up to standard for this thread, but it doesn't say anywhere, as far as I know, that one has to be wearing a suit or a sport coat. Here is a casual weekend outfit in what I think of as a fairly bold, though I hope not disharmonious, combination of colors. I am taking advantage of the fact that the weather in my locale today, though sunny, permits the wearing of a sweater—of cotton, of course. The point that seems to me most questionable is my wearing a necktie with a linen shirt and cotton-twill trousers. What do you say: does it "work," or is it an unhappy combination of conflicting stylistic registers? (I really, really like this tie, by the way: a garza fina grenadine from Shibumi Firenze.)

I like this look, but it would better suit in this thread: https://www.styleforum.net/threads/waywrn-classic-menswear-casual-style.253842/latest, in my opinion.

I also have a (rarely worn) seersucker suit.
Missed opportunity there for you to wear it with your white bucks or white suedes. These shoes look a little stolid with the slightly frivolous light-hearted seersucker, but bravo for keeping the SS flag flying! (No not that SS!)
I no longer own white bucks - I think I wore navy suede loafers last time I wore my SS.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
