Got this tie recently and the art deco-style inspired me to do a retro-ish fit. Should have gone with a more muted ps though. The stains on the tie and suit are raindrops.

Suit: Tombolini
Shirt: Inglese
Tie: Viola Milano
PS: Drake's
Boots: C&J

Not quite spring, not quite winter. This super slubby100% silk stripe is likewise not too formal, not too casual. Super hard to capture how chalky the tie is - Not sure I’m loving the combination with the tie but oh well.

The weather in NYC is sunny and mild, though I am most likely not going to experience it firsthand today, as my right ankle is still painful for certain activities (walking up and down stairs being the worst). Taking it easy then, and attempting to amuse myself as best I can, I decided to dress for the weather, and as a balm to my mood - a dose of Ben-Gay for my soul, if you will, as long as we're on the subject of joint pain.

Today's suit was in rotation to be worn, and its bright color inspired the rest of the ensemble - including the rather funky socks. Let it never be said that I'm losing my sense of humor in my old age.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Brooks Brothers
Tie - Charvet
Cufflinks - The Persian Shop, NYC
Braces - Paul Stuart
Pocket square - Robert Talbott
Socks - New & Lingwood
Shoes - Paul Stuart house brand

Beautiful suit and tie. They pair well together. I wore pink socks today so take my advice with a grain of salt. I like wearing loafers and suits, but some take issue with it. I think a black or navy blue sock would have looked better here as it would have helped to create one continuous block. Your current socks are too light IMO and stick out too much for such a sober suit.

You promised us on another thread that you owned non-boring shoes. Have loved the fits so far, but the masses are looking for more.
The two outfits before this were Fukuda Celeste’s and Meccariello Decurion 1’s. But this afternoon after meetings I lost the tie and changed shoes before happy hour

Loafers??? F***** loafers? You are this close to making me learn how to use the ignore function on this forum. And to think I have enjoyed your fits so far. HARRUMPH!

Stuck at home with post-covid fatigue.
On the bright side, I'm closer than ever to approximating my ideal suit proportions, thanks to this jacket I thrifted. Now if only I could find an actual matching suit with these proportions and in my size... ha

Very nice proportions on the jacket and pants.

Unsolicited advice. I think color of the jacket and pants are too close. This outfit needs more contrast in my opinion. The jacket sleeves are too long/need to be shortened.

I get most of my stuff from eBay. You can find vintage Polo Ralph Lauren suits with similar proportions for a decent price. Happy hunting.
