Very astute observation which I missed in my sweeping generalisation of Oxxford a few days back.

Did you ever own an Oxxford suit?

Based on the fret markers and weird rosette, almost certainly NOT a Gibson.

Naw, I just glanced at the finishing on the top and made a quick guess. It's been a long time since I have seen a Gibson. They always sounded like a thud to my ears.

How you gon' talk about the narrow lapels on my gray jacket?

Yeah. These lapels are 2.75". I'm not against narrow lapels, but it has to fit in with the overall aesthetic of the jacket and the proportions of the wearer. I think the narrowest lapels I have are 2.5" on this jacket. You look good in your jacket, but I just think your jacket would look better with wider lapels. Que Sera, Sera.

Hm. The shell seconds are on sale for 200. I was super tempted to grab a pair but seeing how they look in your fit made me stop and wonder how I'd actually wear them...

No, I have everything made these days. With off the peg stuff I always had to compromise, no matter how good the brand. Too long, arms, waist, shoulders...nothing ever fitted comfortably even with at times radical surgery.
