I'm a fan of everything but the briefcase. Not that the case isn't nice--it's just not consistent with the extremely buttoned-up, "city" nature of your look.

I appreciate the kind words, You're too kind.

As for the briefcase, well-oh-well, what can a student do..
A full leather briefcase is definitely on my bucket list for this year, still saving up while doing my summer internship. Fingers crossed it'll get ticked sooner than later!

Need advice guys,

Recently went to a mate's birthday party. What's the rules with ties and denim? Or coats as well? I'm not too masterful with pairing CM items with denim so I could really use the advice--considering this is the only piece of denim that I own, I barely even use it..

Brooks Brothers jacket and tie, L L Bean yellow OCBD shirt, Jim Thompson pocket square, Tommy Hilfiger cotton cable sweater vest (yes, I know it has a hole in it), Orvis heavy cotton canvas trousers, Allen-Edmonds shoes, and a Hamilton 992B Railway Special pocket watch on a lapel chain.

Last green. Cream square. Not sold on the shoes. I think a darker pair would be better.

Neckwear should skew casual. In any event, I’d steer clear of one or the other. I’m not a fan of the combo at all, though, in fairness, I’m really not a fan of denim at all, especially when trying to dress it “up.”
