Here's looking at you, kid.

Went to a Casablanca themed event at a tiki bar and had to wear this dinner jacket. Was one of the few young people who dressed up, but still fun! When we walked around Hollywood Blvd after, a lot of people asked me if I had just gotten married or came from prom.

@Newcomer that's bold but well-executed. Don't give us any lines about how law associates should not be noticed when wearing pinstripes and paisley, though! ;)

Thanks bud! I actually ended up taking off the vest - a bit too hot - and the whole getup is not too flashy. The paisley tie is ancient madder, so it is a bit less showy than it looks in pictures!

@Newcomer flawless, IMHO. Always have been a fan of flannel chalk stripes. Some might say the pocket square appears matchy-matchy with the tie but I don’t mind it.

Thanks! The square and tie are actually pretty different - but it definitely looks like a matching set in the photos haha.

I thought you gave up on pocket squares?

I was out of the office this morning, but took it out once I arrived at work :D.

That tie is a "no" for me generally, but particularly with that suit. The suit is lovely, though!

@upr_crust That is a very nice blue fabric on wednesday's post

If you are speaking of the shirt fabric, it's a Thomas Mason fabric - actually an erroneous selection by my MTM guy at Brooks Brothers. If you are speaking of the suit fabric, it's a super 110's, off the rack from Paul Stuart.

Vintage trey piece from JC Penney's. Does it look too vintage? Love the collar roll on this Spier Mackey shirt.

I think it looks great. This is where gorges are supposed to sit. We will look back in a decade and laugh at these fashionable gorges virtually on the traps.

edit - although of course these days people favour ultrathin cloth, so from the point of view of the suit being made of a decent weight one and thus draping well without bunching and unsightly folds and visible stitching, it looks "vintage" :p

It's comforting to know that no matter when I happen to check in on WAYWRN, I can be assured that @Mr. Six will have posted something inspiring.

I gave up on the quote and the spoiler. Man alive I am out of touch with the new interface.
