Yes, darker shoes would have been better (same shade as the tie would be perfect imo), but the rest is really nice. Black watchband with brown jacket would bother me though.
All the colors you mention would work, but with a white shirt and light grey suit, almost any color tie would work imo. Your choices would be good and safe, the olive here is a little more adventurous.
Sander,
Do you upload all your photos into 1 location before posting them in the forum? It would be so awesome to have a consolidated source of all your pictures. I've learned a lot(especially colors) from looking at your outfits; I still have one of you, seated and looking at your phone, in a wheat-colored suit, green tie(maybe the same one form above?), air force blue socks, and chili colored oxfords. One of my fav outfits of all SF til this day. Also have this pic of you in a wide chalkstripe, navy suit with a burnt orange neat. Pretty bad ass.

@mcobinad, my day was not off to a great start here but you brightened it considerably. Thanks for the dose of Adorable Family. (And your pocket square looks fine to me.)

Simple, but not simple. Me gusta. edit: same goes for @Cleav

Thanks! I liked your fit yesterday and was inspired to do grey suit and green tie today.

We need tie deets, and we need it right meow!! Excellent look.

Note: apologies for the lack of spoilers...typed on my cell.

Cappelli (9cm x 148cm, standard 3-fold). And thank you!

Love this. Really love where your trousers sit on your body and stance and length of your coat(and how that all plays into the proportions)

Is that Steed? 2 piece or odd coat and trou?

Thanks! It's a suit from Formosa via NMWA. (Caccioppoli wool-silk blend.)

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
