SCENE
Philadelphia. August. Early Morning. Underground, on the Westbound El by the Courthouse.

Random Old Guy: (walking up to me as we exit the El) Hey, counselor, are those brown shoes?

Me: Oh, no, they're burgundy.

ROG: Eh? Well, they look brown to me…(pregnant pause}…The judge is gonna throw you outta court for that, you know.

Me: Have a nice day! (walking away briskly).

EXEUNT.

To be honest, I agree, the love you Americans have for brown / burgundy shoes with formal wear is nauseous.

What I love about Victor, everything is bespoke but the shoes are just plain old Crocketts and Trickers love that. Besides the fact that he is a bad ass mofo, and clearly has a walk in closet.

Anyone else notice that our other well-dressed Russian friend, IST66, disappeared right around the time that Victor showed up? :lookaround:

I was noticing that too about the shoes.

Then it dawned on me that it is VERY expensive to import finished products of any sort into Russia. When I was working on a project in Moscow we even had trouble shipping samples in and out.

So I bet it's actually not only better - but also not a lot more expensive to have high quality clothing made locally in Moscow than it is to import them already finished.

Am I right Victor?

And yes - badass mofo seems 'bout right! :D
