Tough to say with certainty from just those pics, but I'm going to say yes. Church's sized some BB shoes with EU sizes and had a (now pretty much retired) 73 last. So the 42 D would work for sze and the E073 would work for the last. Good chance they are.
Question: what does the stamp inside the footbed near the ball say?

Here's a photo of what's written on the insole (other than what is pictured above). As you suggested, it's just back from the ball of the foot.

It does, but not exactly. The heel pad looks similar to Alden too (not shown), but the toe pattern isnt the same as any Alden LWB I've seen.Main font looks a little like Alden
Those are Mason all the way. Union Made. Probably sold by a door to door salesman, back in the day. You might see them also sub-branded as Executive Imperials. You will usually see them with O'Sullivan Heels.
