Hi everyone,
It's time to update the suits, I have an industry conference coming up next week and in search of an OTR Hickey Freeman suit. I called the factory store in SF and they have the $1495 and $1295 OTR suits. Nordstrom carries a Hickey Freeman OTR suite for $1295. Nordstroms is much closer by 2 hours than the HF store in SF, so I was going to purchase the suit there but when I look on the HF website. The $1295 suits are not the same from HF and Nordstrom or at least the descriptions are not. Any advice on which one to get? Is the $1495 version, which I think has a better suit material worth the difference and drive. I figure I'm already spending a lot, what's another $300. The HF store said that they will include all alterations in the price but then so will Nordstroms.

I work in the medical industry and don't wear a suit for work. I plan on getting the standard navy and charcoal and I figure these suits should last me for 10 years.]

Thank you

If the ones at the HF store are fully canvassed, go with those. Some of the cheaper mainline HF suits are no longer fully canvassed.

If can wait a few weeks, sign up with Gilt Groupe and wait for a sale. HF seems to be on sale every few weeks. You can get HF suits in solid colors for around $500.

Hickey Freemans at Nordstrom are all fully canvassed.
