Happy Holidays, All.. I'm shopping for a ring (forefinger), but have no idea if there are matching "rules", or guidelines. I'd be wearing it on the same hand as the black onyx David Yurman signet ring. Does the brass on the new ring work, or does it clash w/ the current one? Thank-you all for the help/advice!

I think they would clash. If you're going to wear the black onyx ring, then I would get the ring that's all silver, not the one that's two-tone.

If you want something that's very subtle and two-tone, Kei Shigenaga makes rings inspired by kintsugi, a Japanese form of pottery repair. I have a few of their rings and think they're really beautiful. The small (intentional) cracks in the ring are filled with gold.

Ask Keith Richards.

Last year, you were rude to someone on this side of the forum after they posted a fairly innocent question. Then you got into a fight with them. In their anger at you, they Paypal'd me $30 after I answered their question.

I encourage you to keep this up, as I would like to make some extra cash next year.

Thank-you for the reply and the suggestion. I'll look into that further. In the meantime, I really like this maritime compass ring by David Yurman. It has some personal significance, and am glad I saw it. Also goes much better w/ the black onyx ring, along w/ another signet ring that I already have. Wasn't really a "jewelry guy" (except for wristwatches) until the pandemic. Definitely never thought I would end up w/ more than I can wear at once, but that seems to be the path I'm headed down lol. Thank-you again for the name.?
