Those are sleek but are not considered pumps - they're slip ons. And while they're nice looking (esp the grosgrain), they're not considered "classic footwear" for black tie. They were tempting, though!

You can find the AE Ritz opera pumps, very reduced on ebay, I got mine for only $75 and they are very good. Currently there is one in 12AAA for $8, you need to have very thin feet for that one

Forget the bals and bluchers, and wear a slip-on / pump. They're much less practical, and much less likely to be confused for military dress uniform shoes.
