Help! Crease/noticeable line on hoodie

Hello everyone, new to the forum!

I need some help here... So I noticed my brand NEW John Elliot hoodie has a line striking through it which wasn't there when I bought it. See attached image.

I checked the hangers I was using and sure enough noticed there is sharp protruding pieces (cheaply made and will replace them). I inspected the inside of this hoodie and I didn't see any damage but I'm confident that I somehow pleated or created this by pulling the hoodie on the sharp part to take it off the hanger.

Does anyone know how to get this line out? I'm hesitant to wash it as I still have the option of returning it though I'd rather not because I like it. I guess I'm worried this line isn't going to go away even after a wash and I would be to OCD to wear it happily.

If your hanger “damaged” it, returning it wouldn’t be an option. Wash, wear and enjoy…it’s a Hoodie.

Thanks gents. I'll probably try washing it on a cold cycle and hang drying, might move the fibers a bit and get the crease out. As I said there is no signs of scraping or damage on the underside so it's hard to make out what happened.

Can’t believe that there has been any real permanent damage. Yes just wash and line dry.
