I found this b&w photo in an old magazine. Quite like the look and have in mind to replicate it for a forthcoming function. I have the glen plaid check suit covered but what color polo? Pink? Baby blue? Purple? And, depending on the polo, what colors should be in the cravatte/scarf? What shoes should be worn with such an outfit? Thanks in advance.

Nice look, and it's an interesting challenge. What are the colors of your complexion? What is the occasion? What color is the suit?

What colour is the GP suit? Tan/grey? what colour is the overplaid?

I have a tan linen GP suit, I have worn it with pink polos for summer. Also a baby blue polo would work. Cream is another option. Navy would work too.

Lots o' options

I would say the polo is either mango or goldenrod. The jacket would be carcoal or a dark tan. The ascot is an asortment of fall colors, yelloe, orange, red. Not my style but those are the colors I see in this outfit.

Thank you to everyone who replied. Some suggestions there I would not otherwise have considered - but might just work!

fwiw, the jacket I have is a gray pow check with a large pink windowpane. I'll try and post a pic. Also, my complexion is best described 'pasty', with salt 'n'pepper hair (oh, all right - more salt than pepper) - pretty much opposite to the tanned dude in the pic.

If its got pink in the windowpane, nix the pink polo. The other choices still will work.
