Greenfield on Gilt

I see that on Thursday this week Gilt is featuring tailored clothing from Martin Greenfield. I know Gilt gets no love around here, but I think Greenfield does. Any idea if this stuff will be any good?

Hasn't BB Golden Fleece in the past been made by Greenfield? Isn't that mass RTW?

I guess he meant RTW under the M. Greenfield brand. Never seen that either.

Yes, he also makes some Band of Outsiders suits, coats and SCs, and made Thom Browne items in the past.

I did - the sale is listed as Martin Greenfield (not Greenfield for another manufacturer)

How many people who frequent Gilt are going to even recognize the Greenfield name? Without good prices, I doubt GG would expect it to sell there. I'll certainly tune in Thursday to find out.

This is rather confusing. MG is one of the best outfits around. I never knew he had a private label either. Cant wait to see what this is about.

A band suit costs >2000 and their always bragging about having Greenfield make their stuff. Plus I doubt Greenfield would sacrifice quality even for gilt.

I know nothing of Greenfield RTW nor what this deal with Gilt is but I have heard rumblings that MG isn't as financially sound as you would think.

I already checked, and apparently, all the Greenfield is in another member's cart.

I am on the Wait List, though, so fingers crossed.
