GoogleVoice invites are sooooo 9 months ago.

I think I actually only logged into my Voice account no more than a dozen times in the past 6 months.

My impression of Wave is that it's like email for people with ADD. The ability to start discussion threads based around selected parts of emails and to break into threads from that seems to clutter stuff up, but I'm not a huge live/on-line collaboration person.

Google voice isnt even active in the UK. I mainly want it for the "one number" thing.

Yeah, the one number thing is nice, although I only have a cell, so it's not a huge deal, but I was able to grab a number that spelled my last name though. The screening functions of GoogleVoice are nice, since you can block numbers and it will give a phone company sounding error, making it seem like you're not intentionally ignoring that annoying friend who only calls to ask for money or for a Google Wave invite.

Are you going to invite a fellow SF member or just brag?

Send me one invite and I'll invite as many people in this thread as I can and they will invite the rest of SF, etc etc.

Will do as soon as they give me some invites. It is a bit silly, my girlfriend got an invite from Google because she is registered as a Beta tester or something. At first, she didnt know anyone else who had it, and they didnt give her any invites. Not much fun with a collaborative tool.
