Remember that the colors change from batch to batch. This color is close enough to burgundy, it may even be hard to tell the difference on a new batch. I am getting some burgundy shoes this month from an MTO and would love to take a picture side-by-side for you. But again, YMMV.

I'm not a fan of broguing on the cap as I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to shoes, so these were great.
BTW, this is called a quarter brogue. My bad. :)

Hey Young,

Do you know if Carmina can offer this model 80105 on the Rain Last?

I've been drooling over these since I saw them, but as I have no way of finding out my Simpson size without having to pay for return shipping overseas (or of knowing if the last will even fit my feet at all), I figured I'd see about getting a group MTO to get them made on the Rain.

Btw, new ties look great.

I'm currently drooling over the same shoe, but in brown on the Inca last. It's model no. 80168. I want.

All right so some of you have already heard that Carmina decided to stop making non-laced shell boots (such as Jodhpur in navy shell) due to shells 'breaking' while processing.
So I have some new MTO ideas for Navy Shell Boots.

Below Model in Navy Shell Cordovan (possibly with speed hooks on top?)
Brown Dainite Sole
(possbily Red leather lining inside)

How about a calf/suede Jodhpur like Alfred Sargent:

I would be down with this boot with speed hooks on top.

Red or green lining?

Maybe something less formal than a punch cap like this regular cap or wingtip?

Speedhooks shouldnt be a problem. However, Green lining is still not an option with Carmina at this point. (I think the Red lining should work)

Since it has open lacing I think it'll look clean with a simple cap-toe

Thinking something more like this:

Navy Shell Cordovan
Rain Last
Brown Dainite Sole
Red Lining
Speed hooks
Punch cap toe?

Yep! Exactly! I used my burgundy boots picture since it displayed the shape of the Rain last better.
(But I definitely understand about the cleaner cap-toe and speed hooks)

What do you mean by punched cap toe? you mean medallion on the toe box? I think Rain will work best without it to better display its chiseled toe, but it's up to you guys :D
