Just an FYI, Cassina should be having its sale soon (end of September/beginning of October).

I found it while looking for a cheap version of Wegner's "round chair" or the DWR knockoff (imho), the Juliana.

I remember looking at that site when we were searching for chairs for the table (we have the very large, white oval). Something to keep in mind is that different chairs look different from different perspectives, e.g., I think the matching Saarinen Tulip chairs look good from below the waist, but are kind of bulky and clumsy in numbers around the table. My wife wanted to use the Ghost chair (or the armless version), and I was surprised by how much I liked it and how comfortable it is. I still nixed it, because she wanted a dozen, and I thought they looked kind of cold when massed. I liked the Arne Jacobson Series 7 design and the Ant even more for this, but she nixed that for some reason. Eventually, we went with the classic Panton chairs in the non-classic Smurf blue. I like the way they look massed around the table, especially since they can be pushed up pretty close.

I can't believe what those ghost chairs cost. But then, I often think I don't belong in this sub-forum.

I just saw these, Starck's Mr. Impossible for Kartell, and fell in love:

dopey, had you considered using the Eames fiberglass chairs with the Saarinen table? They're very comfortable, more so than the Louis Ghost chair, which doesn't have too much give. --Andre

I like the base on his old Eros better.

The single-column one or the Eiffel-like legs? I like the Eiffel, but for some reason, I don't like the single-column one. The only place the single-column leg works for me is on some Artifort lounge chairs, otherwise it always looks too perfunctory, especially compared to the curvy seat.

I have only seen the single-column one. I like them enough to have three clear ones (along with a Peter Pronzman for Herman Miller tubular settee) on my balcony.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I was wondering if anyone knows the website that displays "apartments of the week/month" thing and just can be good to have a look as I am in the process of looking for a new place and I need some ideas. Someone mentioned it in one of the threads in this forum, but I can't seem to find it now. Any ideas? thanks.

LK, that box that you have in the picture, at the far right - did you get it at the leather school in Florence? I bought a green one exactly like that this past spring.
