I'm supposed to enter, so here's something just for a laugh. It looks a little like a Crombie, but most of the duds in this shot are faux...

'The Heavy'. Faux wing-tip brogues from Marks & Spencer, black work socks by JCB, black Levis, fly-fronted leather overcoat by Milan Leather, roll neck gawd knows, gloves from Marks & Spencer, faux Ray Bans from Boots, faux leather pork pie.
I thought surely a man of mystery would hide his face. Or do you have plastic surgery done every week.

Hey MoM if you push back the deadline one more day I’ll throw in an entry as I’m heading for Buffalo New York on Monday.
As it’s currently 80 degrees F in Florida I won’t be wearing a Crombie on the current deadline day.
If you have to stick to your cutoff so be it, if past precedent is anything to go by I won’t be worrying the leader board much anyway!!

Sorry, TWD. I'm getting technical help from Clouseau on this, and I need to wrap things up now or the damn thing will hang about for another week, because both he and I our up to our necks in stuff.

I'm sure you'll get a chance to show off on a later occasion.

On the recommendation of the good Inspector @Clouseau , I am slipping in a late Entry to replace my earlier one.

This Horne Bros. classic English cashmere blend overcoat is seen here on its maiden outing earlier today (on me at least) and is more closely aligned with the Crombie styles of my youth...

Navy or black is the preferred colour for that style of coat. Therefore I think your first entry was better.

I wonder if there will ever be a poll for this challenge or will there be further late entries.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
