If my wife would let me, and if I wasn't already heavily invested in the CM side of things, and if it fit my personality (it doesn't), I would wear Yohji regularly. Probably my favorite clothing designer.
As a whole, I like the below outfit a lot, but if I were able to wear Yohji, I'd probably stick with something like the sweater. I don't look good in lots of black, and Yohji rarely does earthtones.
Just a suggestion, but the OP may wish to clarify prior to opening the poll, are we voting for the most egregiously hideous 'what was I thinking?' fit (coughClagscough) or are we voting for the most successfully folded 'what was I thinking?' Item into a half- way decent agreeable whole?
Quote:
I think Claghorn's original entry does integrate the item in question into an "agreeable whole": everything coheres, nothing dissonates.
Whether or not it is to one's liking is arguably a different question, as is the question of whether or not its departure from CM is a factor to be taken into consideration.
As usual I think it's probably best to allow people to vote their conscience.
Cheers,

Given the audience, perhaps this is a better entry?
Sorry Clags I don't understand how anyone, especially someone with CM credentials like you, could even contemplate stepping out of the house wearing those ... whatever risible chopped up bell bottom raggedy trouser thingies. I thought such garb(age) was for catwalks only and not for human consumption in the real world. Either way despite my live-and-let-live leanings I'm sure I'd find it difficult not to point and laugh if I ever saw such a thing in the wild and certainly couldn't take anyone seriously dressed like that. So I'm a victim of the mores of 20/21st century traditions. I admit it!
Given the audience, perhaps this is a better entry?
I am the proud owner of FOUR boating blazers.
Quote:I see nothing out of the ordinary here.
To be honest, had this appeared, say, over on WAYWRN I probably would have 'thumbed' it. But this is a degree-of-difficulty challenge: take something unusual that is difficult to combine into a coherent outfit, and for me a boating blazer doesn't quite fit that description
Still a nice outfit, however.
Cheers,
